What is bulky waste?
Bulky waste is large items householders no longer want or need, but that we are not able to take away as part of your everyday rubbish collection.
Bulky waste includes:
- beds
- fridges (but not American style fridge/freezers)
- furniture
- TVs and large electrical items
You are entitled to receive one free collection every 12 months (maximum of 3 items).
Additional items will be chargeable at a cost of £11.55 per item (maximum of 3 items per booking).
A fee is payable at the time of booking.

If none of the above options is possible or practical, you can make a booking for us to collect your bulky waste items.
We do not collect bulky waste from:
- commercial premises
- business premises
What we cannot collect
We will not collect the following as bulky waste items:
- Builders waste including plasterboard, tiles and bricks.
- Tyres and all other vehicle parts.
- Very heavy items which cannot be safely carried by two people
