Apply for a skip licence

Skip Licence Pricing:

  • £259.00 for 14 days (Incudes £125.00 inspection fees) 7 days advance notice needed
  • £150.00 for 14 days renewal or alteration to existing licence (including the administration of any refunds)

  • If a refund is requested and granted after a site inspection has taken place, then £85.00 will also be deducted from the original fee paid.

    No skip should be placed on the public highway until a valid licence has been issued.

    Should any unlicensed structures be found on site before a licence is issued or any structures left after expiry of original licence, the applicant will be subject to pay for both Enforcement charges and new/renewal licence fees.

    Skip permits must be applied for by the skip company placing the skip on the public highway. Once issued, the permit will be sent to the skip hire company. Residents will not receive a copy of the skip permit.

  • Extension requests should be made at least a week before the licence expires. You can apply for up to two extensions. Then, you must apply for a new licence.
